Cross-Border Provision of Services

The cross-border provision of services is a temporary exercise of profession as an architect, who is established in home Member State, in Slovak Republic based on enrolment to the register of visiting architects. Registration is valid for one year with the possibility to prolong it always for one year.

  1. Terms of first cross-border provision of services:
  2. nationality of EC Member State or Swiss Confederation (proved by passport or identification card),
  3. training in architecture (proved by evidence of formal qualification according to the Annex V point 5.7.1. or Annex VI of the Directive 2005/36/EC and its amendments published in Official Journal of the EU and by the certificate of the competent authority of home Member State),
  4. attestation of competence from competent authority of Member State of origin that architect who has acquired qualification fulfilling requirements of the Directive 2005/36/EC when submitting his/her application is eligible for pursuit of professional practice in architecture and is not disciplinary prosecuted nor he is in liquidation),
  5. integrity (proved by abstract of criminal record and by confirmation of the Chamber or other registration body that he/she is not disciplinary prosecuted nor he is in liquidation or bankruptcy),
  6. professional indemnity insurance of an architect valid within the Slovak territory.
  7. Terms of repeated or prolonged cross-border provision of services (within two years):
  8. integrity (proved by abstract of criminal record and by confirmation of the Chamber or other registration body that he/she is not disciplinary prosecuted nor he is in liquidation or bankruptcy),
  9. professional indemnity insurance of an architect valid within the Slovak territory.

The payment for every enrolment to the list of authorized architects or to the register of visiting architects is 100 EUR.

The cross-border provision of services is proved by registration certificate and the stamp certified by Slovak Chamber of Architects.
